Revenue for the quarter ended July 26, 2026, increased 18% from the previous quarter and 106% from a year earlier, highlighting the extraordinary pace of spending on AI computing infrastructure.
The performance exceeded Wall Street expectations and reinforced Nvidia's position at the centre of the global AI investment cycle.
Data Center Revenue Surges 117%
Nvidia's Data Center business generated $89 billion, rising 18% quarter on quarter and an impressive 117% year over year.
The division remains the company's primary growth engine as cloud providers, technology companies and AI developers continue expanding computing capacity to train and operate increasingly sophisticated artificial intelligence models.
Founder and CEO Jensen Huang described the industry as reaching an AI “inflection point,” with businesses increasingly finding practical and commercially valuable applications for artificial intelligence.
Nvidia's Blackwell-based systems continue to play a major role in current AI infrastructure deployments, while attention is increasingly turning towards the company's next-generation Vera Rubin platform.
Nvidia Forecasts $108 Billion Quarter
The chipmaker expects revenue of approximately $108 billion for its fiscal third quarter, plus or minus 2%, maintaining expectations for another period of rapid growth.
Importantly, Nvidia said its forecast does not include Data Center compute revenue from China, reflecting continuing uncertainty surrounding US export restrictions and access to the Chinese semiconductor market.
Gross margins for the latest quarter stood at 75%, while GAAP net income reached approximately $59.7 billion.
Nvidia also returned around $26 billion to shareholders through share repurchases and cash dividends during the quarter.
AI Infrastructure Spending Remains Strong
The results arrive as major technology groups continue committing enormous amounts of capital to AI infrastructure.
Demand for graphics processors and accelerated computing systems has expanded rapidly as companies build large-scale data centres capable of supporting generative AI, advanced reasoning models and other computationally intensive applications.
However, investors continue to watch whether the enormous levels of AI spending will ultimately produce sufficient financial returns for Nvidia's biggest customers.
Competition is another factor. Major cloud providers are increasingly developing their own specialised processors, potentially reducing their long-term dependence on external chip suppliers.
Despite those concerns, Nvidia's latest results suggest that near-term demand for advanced AI computing remains exceptionally strong.
With Vera Rubin entering production and global investment in AI infrastructure continuing, Nvidia is positioning its next generation of processors to support the next phase of expansion in artificial intelligence computing.
