I began my career in pharmaceutical manufacturing as an intern, entering an industry that demanded resilience, credibility, and courage, particularly as a young woman. An early site closure could easily have derailed my ambitions, but instead, it became a catalyst. It forced me to reassess, adapt, and step forward with intent. That moment has shaped how I have approached my career ever since: with ownership, curiosity, and the confidence to pivot when necessary.
Education has played a defining role throughout my journey. After becoming a mother, I completed both an MSc and an MBA. Studying while raising my son was challenging, but it reinforced a core belief that growth does not stop because life expands, it accelerates because of it. What inspired me then, and continues to inspire me now, is the opportunity to combine science, strategy, and leadership to protect patients while shaping environments where people can thrive.
Current Role and Market Differentiation
I currently serve as Chief of Staff to the Head of Global Regulatory Affairs and Drug Safety/Chief Regulatory and Safety Officer, while also leading business strategy and operations within R&D. The role is intentionally broad and deeply influential. It operates at the intersection of regulatory science, organisational strategy, execution, and people leadership.
What sets this work apart in today’s market is its focus on integration. In an era of increasing regulatory complexity, accelerating innovation, and heightened expectations around compliance and transparency, organisations need leaders who can connect dots, align agendas, and turn complexity into clarity. My role is about enabling senior leaders to think strategically, act decisively, and build resilient, future-ready organisations without losing sight of patients, quality, or culture. I am a Level 3 certified Chief of Staff with the Chief of Staff Association and completed this qualification at Harvard Business School last year.

I am most proud of building and leading high-performing global R&D audit and inspection teams across multiple GxPs, and successfully hosting complex regulatory inspections in demanding environments. Achieving 100% in the Lead Auditor exam was a personal milestone, but the greater achievement was fostering confidence and credibility within diverse teams operating across geographies and regulatory regimes. I continue to share my learnings and experiences within the industry by presenting at conferences, moderating panels, and teaching on courses.
Equally important to me is the example I have set through my career progression. Returning to work after motherhood and completing both an MSc and an MBA while advancing professionally demonstrated that ambition and motherhood are not mutually exclusive.
